LEADERSHIP CLASS COMPUTING FOR COMBUSTION APPLICATIONS
The evolution of high performance computing has allowed great strides in science in the past three decades leading to increased integration in both academia and industry. Fields where experimental data is impossible or very complex to get are a fertile ground for new numerical methods and applications. One of this fields is combustion. In this presentation will be highlighted recent advancements in Large Eddy Simulation (LES) of combustion applications in research experiments and industrial systems using the AVBP code from CERFACS and IFPEN. Code modernization efforts on the KNL architecture will be singled out.
